The report,
Board Diversity in Trinidad and Tobago by Seneca Consulting Limited, offers a data-driven examination of the state of gender diversity across the boards of publicly listed companies in Trinidad and Tobago for the period 2018-2024. The study highlights both progress and persistent disparities in female representation, specifically at the board level, with women now holding
29.9% of board seats, but just
15% of board chair roles.
The findings of this report reveal an important takeaway; female representation has improved, however, opportunities to create influence and make decisions remain unevenly distributed. The report calls for stronger data transparency, measurable diversity targets, and intentional pipeline development to ensure leadership in Trinidad and Tobago, and by extension the Caribbean, is inclusive, resilient, and future-ready.
